| These boots are NOT quiet on bare floors. I am the only female engineer in a department of about 20, and the floors are vinyl. I sound like a Clydesdale when I walk to the printer (and I weigh 97 pounds). "Quiet" is kind of emphasized where I work. (Did you ever try tip-toeing in boots in front of 20 men?) However, they are very comfortable. I'm used to wearing 1.5" heel slip-ons, and these have more of a slight forward pitch that take some getting used to (this is just the 2nd day I've had them). When people say they are true to size, it really does mean they are true to size. I'm almost inclined to say they run a bit small, but they probably are exactly true to size. I usually buy a 9, but bought an 8.5 in these based on reviews. They looked so small, and they really do make my feet look a lot smaller, but they are a true fit. I even tried them on with thick socks before ever wearing them and the boots went on OK. One thing that I either missed or it wasn't mentioned, is that in the front, where the strap goes across the boot, there is a slotted opening, so if you have on gold trouser socks for example, the gold will peak through. It's just a litle extra fashion accent but worth mentioning for the cute factor. Overall I like the boots, just wish they were quieter. |

These boots by Aerosoles promised and delivered style and comfort. True to size, but if you have an high instep like me, you may want to get a 1/2 size larger. I purchased smooth black leather for my first pair. My black suede leather boots are enroute to my house at this moment. I would love a pair in every color.
